I have an overbite and overcrowding but i KNOW i'll look bad with metal braces and i think my teeth are too crooked for invisalign (clear braces). I don't want to be a metal mouth for 2 years... do i have any other options?

I have crowding in my front teeth and am currently doing invisaling. You honestly can't tell, unless I tell someone. Check with a dentist who does invisalign and see if it will work for you...it doesn't hurt to ask. You can also go for porcelein veneers...or crowns....but they are pretty expensive, and not covered by most dental insurance companies because it is considered cosmetic. If you can't do either of those....buck up and get the traditional braces...a couple of years as a metal mouth is better than a lifetime of crooked teeth...right?

I recommend going to an orthodontist and asking about the invisaligns(Most offer free screenings) They can be resized often and I haven't seen anyone yet who's teeth were too crooked As far as any other options I can't think of any but again you can always ask an orthodontist

You can have porcelain brackets put on instead of metal, they are white. I had mine put on at 25 and had to wear the for 18 months. hardly anyone notices, just on the days there were adjusted because my mouth was so sore I talked funny :) . If you really want it do it, you will be so glad you did. Good luck

You CAN get the clear braces! My dad had them put on when he was 50 and they looked totally natural. Now he has nice straight teeth!

yes, there is something call ceramic braces that are not as visible as metal braces, and there is invisilign, a CLEAR retainer like mold that you replace a new one each visit. Some say invisilign is more painful.

Note these procedures are more expensive
