I would take it ten pounds at a time. You should be getting 30 minutes of exersize a day, eating 1,200 calories a day. You will probably lose about 5-7 pounds the first week and about 2 pounds a week after that. You can lose about 10 pounds in 5 weeks. Don't set a crazy goal for yourself because you will just get overwhelmed Take it ten pounds at a time until you get to a weight where you feel good about yourself. It takes didication but you can do it. Stay away from sweets, soda, junk food, and food high in fat. Always look at the back on the Nutrition Labels to see how much calories whatever you are eating is. Write everything you eat down in a journal and what you did for exersize. Take a picture of yourself now, and take a picture of yourself everytime you lose ten pounds. If you go out to eat, ask the waitor to find out how much calories and fat is in the meal you want. Oh yeah, and on nutrition labels, make sure you read the serving size. For example, if a box of crackers says 50 calories per serving and there are ten servings don't eat the whole box because it will be wayy more than 50 calories.

Chica, you have to eat right first off, then you have to do weight training for an hour 5-6 days a week. Eat fruits, veggies, drink lots of water, cut the breads down, cut the fried foods, butter, junk foods and candies out completely. When you go grocery shopping say NO to the following ingredients: Sugar, Enriched Flour, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Saturated Fat, Trans Fat, High Sodium, High Fructose Corn Syrup, and any type of animal fat, Lard etc. Take the Special K challenge also for some helpful tips. Im 18, 172lbs, and 6'2. Losing weight is all about excersise and eating well, like anyone will tell you, but if you are lazy, and want to lose the weight also, id seriously recomend boxing lessons for you. Boxing is pretty much the fastest, and funnest way you can lose weight and get into shape quickly, because it pushes you hard, and is not boring like running treadmill or going to the gym, and it is not very expensive either. Look it up, im sure u'll like it.

You might have the same problem that I did. My weight didn't get under control until I fixrd my thyroid. You can go to the doctor and have blood work done ( which I highly recommend that you do! ) or you can start taking Kelp pills( which is just seaweed) and see if that help you lose the weight. well try excersizing a little a day then progress as time goes on.
My sister is around your height. she is seventeen and she is very petite she is about 120 . try getting down to 125 if not 135. HECK, if you lose 10 pounds THATS PRETTY DANG GOOD!!! Well go to a qym or something exersize for an hour a day. and if you ask your parents if you can get a personel trainer. Go running with friends!! I love watching TV and i dont like excersizing so one day i got on my treadmill and excersized for an hour. DONT OVER DO IT! cuz you can sersiously hurt yourself. I almost over did it.. do 45 minutes a day you will lose like a few hundred calories. i know that doesnt seem ALOT but its something to get to a better you! GOOD LUCK!!!

Exercise every day, even if it's just a walk. Go on a high protein, low carbohydrate diet. Eat fish, eggs, chicken, occasional lean beef or pork, low fat cottage cheese. Stay away from regular cheese, no bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, peas, beans (except green beans). No more than one piece of fruit a day and no fruit juice (it's sugar water, my dr says). Cut down on carrots and tomatoes (included ketchup). Use mustard instead of mayonnaise in recipes. Eat lots of salads, green vegetables. Salads only have one tablespoon of dressing for the whole salad. No ice cream, or other desserts.

If you drink a lot of soda and juice, substitute water. Don't eat a lot of fatty foods and walk a mile a day at a brisk pace and you should lose weight.

Swimming is good but if you don't have a pool just walk. Walking takes off lots of weight gradually. You won't see it in a week or two but trust me it works. 130 is a good weight but check your bmi to find your ideal weight. Hope this helps. Good luck.
