God doesn't allow suffering, or create it. Humans do. He gave us free will...and unfortunately, some of us can't handle that.

I believe in a higher power but i don't believe this higher power has anything to do with allowing suffering. I think all human beings want to make sense of suffering and pain because it basically sucks. People thank God when things go well and damn Him when things go bad. Instead of thanking the people in their lives and the good choices they made. when something goes bad or we see suffering going on we should look at the chain of events that contributed to the suffering or accept that good and bad things will occur at times for no reason. I believe we are all connected and the choices we make effect people we don't even know. It has nothing to do with God it has to do with us.

God is sick and twisted... Why would god allow babies to die of thirst and hunger... But it all makes more sense when say there is no god if there was half the crap that goes on would not happen. Abuse, murder, terrorism... the taking of innocence. All these religious idiots will say... They are punishing us for our sins... You know I say the hell with that! What does the pain that a child feels during dialaysis have to do with me i'm not feeling anything but sorry for them, when a 10 y/o who has suffered since the age of 3 is asking god to take her life because she wishes not to suffer any more, A 10 y/o wishing to die! I ask you, is god trying to punish me? Or is he such a selfish wicked hateful god that get joy from the pain, crying out and tears of a child?

I don't believe that god allows or disallows anything, suffering for humans is caused by humans or because we are animals and not immortal. If you would like there to be a little less bad things happening around you, start with yourself and your family and try to lovingly change the suffering you observe. Start with you and work outward....maybe it will help a little. You might also look into some books about Buddhism.

God doesn't "allow" suffering but if you do have faith, God provides support when you are suffering. People need to learn to turn to God for help versus blaming God when they find themselves in tough situations. It's like blaming a chair for causing problems when the chair is really only there to support your weight.

People have the freedom of choice. People hurt other people. We have made this world as it is, we created suffering because we have the knowledge. Thus, we were allowed to suffer for our sins. (After gettign kicked out of eden) but it is not because God Intents to bring suffering. This also means that does make some people suffer.

God is fair, but life sometimes isn’t. God is good, but people often do bad things. God is perfect, but we make mistakes that sometimes cost us dearly. As long as people do bad or evil things, other people will be hurt. If a robber shot you, you and your family would suffer.

As long as humans make mistakes, there will be suffering. If we could just take back that one decision or action that caused so much suffering. Oh, if we could eliminate one tiny mistake. But we can’t. As long as nature is what it is, it will manifest itself as both Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. We will be blessed both with rain for our crops and cursed with typhoons that flood, destroy and kill. As long as we are physical and subject to breaking down and wearing out, sickness and death will be our lot.

Decent people will often suffer, and those who do terrible evils will often prosper. Jesus Christ pointed this out when he said that the rain falls on both the "righteous and the unrighteous" (Matthew 5:45).

Consider what the world would look like if it could be fair as we want it to be fair. No accidents could happen, no criminal act could occur, no natural disaster could affect us. That kind of world would have no logic. The natural laws that govern cause and effect would have to be different in every circumstance.

Would God stop carelessness and irresponsibility? Would he stop everyone from being hurt, from coming down with illnesses and diseases? What about death? Would God abolish death? He’d have to if sorrow and suffering were to be eliminated.

During our entire lives we would be like helpless babies, always under the interventionist eyes of our spiritual parent, God. No longer would we be free moral agents or thinking beings, allowed to consider possible courses of action and to make choices.

God does exist and suffering is all part of his plan to make us more compassionate and loving and helpful to the rest of the human race. Don't see it as a punishment, see it as when you are over your suffering you are a better person for having endured it.

God allows us to choose. Sometimes we suffer because of our choices. Sometimes bad things just happen. The are all for our benefit and learning. The people hit by the Tsunami had terrible suffering. However, it taught the people who offered help and support that they could be blessed by helping others. It taught those who were affected by the Tsunami that there were people in the world who cared about them. People who were affected by the Tsunami had to make choices of whether to go on and rebuild or sit in their own pity. Those who went to give aid to the victims had to choose whether or not they would help. Bad experiences allow us to choose how we will react. Hopefully, we will choose good choices.

Suffering is because men are evil. Suffering is because of Satan's influence.

Without suffering, there will be no compassion. Christ died on the cross so you and I can have a chance to live eternally, now that's God's handiwork.
