"Mean" to u seems to be those caring teachers who try to prepare knuckleheads, such as yourself, for the real world. These days, educators have to pick up the slack for mothers & fathers who aren't parents b/c of fear of not being liked & /or b/c they had kids for selfish reasons. You might not like what I'm typin' here, but ur question was infuriating.
I suggest u try being the best academic and well-behaved student (not a time wasting, school terroristic, spoiled and spoiling pupil) u can be regardless of what ur so-called friends want u 2 do. If u can do this for a while, u will see teachers who might work w/ u a bit differently. These caring teachers will still continue to care w/ a little less need 2 b stern w/ u. Can u step up to the challenge this Sept. '06? (School's over now. If u don't need summer school, enjoy ur summer.)
By the way, all mothers & fathers are not automatically parents. Also, students study; pupils play...
Those who care about u will discipline u. (Discipline does not mean abuse. Jesus had deciples. He did not abuse them. He taught them.)

I don't think being a drunkard has anything to do with being mean to students.
