If you prefer but if I were your bartender I would probably laugh, ask you for ID and then tell you it's called a Harvey Wallbanger

Bartenders are there to help and serve you, and to make you feel comfortable so you have a good party and come back. You could ask for a Wallbanger or do it your way, they'll know what you mean.
Cheers!

Why not?
they will understand if you order that way.
Of course, they will probably say to you, "you mean a Harvey Wallbanger?"

Actually, the bartender would think you were ridiculous for not asking for
a " Harvey Wallbanger "
If your old enough to know what's in it and drink it.......... you should know how to order it! (especially a well-known named drink)

With all the crazy names for cocktails and shots these days, you've no reason to feel silly asking for a HW. LOL!
