Is the Chinese Crested cute enough?

Any dog that has human like hair sheds very little if at all. That's one reason I have a Tzu. I've had mine 3 years and pulled maybe 5 hairs off my shirt in that time. When I brush her I do get hairs that were tangled and I pull them out with the brush. Poodles don't have the long silky hair but they don't shed either. The main draw back is these dogs have to be groomed. I get my Tzu cut short(except for ears and tail) about every couple of months. I brush her ears and tail every day. It just takes too much time to keep them detangled when their hair is long. Costs me 43$ at PetSmart for bath, hair cut and toenails cut. Not bad for every 2 months.

Portuguese Water Dogs. I have had dogs my entire life. I finally broke down and got my PWD. They are expensive but I promise, there are days I wake up and ask my Water Dog to bring me my checkbook coz the breeder didn't charge me enough. I prefer males in this breed. He is very well balanced(breed specific), soft pawed, soft mouthed and very, very cute. He is loved by all. I'll send you pics if you want me to. Half of all 'Doodle' mixes shed. So don't fall for that Labra or Goldendoodle stuff. They do shed. My little man is black. I'll not have one blk hair on a white shirt with him in my lap. I promise. I'll even share my breeder. Good luck.

Boston Terriers shed very, very little, and they have short coats to begin with. They do not have a shedding "season", though you do find little eyelash-looking hairs once in a while. They need very little grooming, though they MUST live indoors. They are wonderful family dogs and have a great sense of humor. Whether you think they're cute or not is purely a matter of taste, however. Heh...

Despite what has been said by those above - ALL DOGS SHED their coats, only some less than others.

Google 'Non-Shedding Dog Breeds' where you'll find a lot of info on shedding, grooming and those dogs that require little coat management.

Some dogs that don't shed are poodles and bichon frises. The best place to find one of them would be to search for a poodle or bichon frise rescue online, or call your local vet and ask for their numbers.

Hi,
You need to get a breed of dog where his fur grows and needs to be groomed or clipped. Examples are coca-poos, shih tzu, yorkies, poodles, scotties, maltese, terrier mixes....

I am allergic to dogs (another reason why I gave away my Chihuahua) and we just got a bichon frise and we already had a toy poodle. They are the only two guaranteed hypo allergenic dogs. I would reccomend a toy poodle because they are not as hyper as bichon frise's.

I have a Yorkshire Terrier. They shed very little, hence the long coat, but do need a lot of grooming. My bf is allergic & he has no reaction to her!
