He is thinking about just going ahead and yelling back at her. I told him there is such thing as a GED, so if he is kicked out of high school, I would place him in one of those programs. It might be better off for him anyway as I feel most teachers at his school are morons. The principals are just as bad.

If the principal won't help go over his/her head to the school board. You probably won't be the first person to complain about this teacher.

If you don't like any of the teachers, and the principles are just as bad, you should send him somwhere else for sure. It might be a lot of work, but it's dertainly the best idea. It is also better than putting him in a GED program. If the principles and teachers truly aren't as bad as you think, try discussing the matter with them. Also discuss it with the other parents. Maybe their kids are experiencing the same problem. If so, you can all team up to help. I'm sure there's a better way. You just have to keep your hopes up. Good luck!

So why don't you get hold of the American Civil Liberties Union and have others join you to file a class action suit against the Principal the school system, and if in NYC, the City itself? Just the publicuty would lead to the principal immedaitely being disciplned, because it would show no one is watching the chicken coup as the fox terrorizes the hens.

Also, I;d bring my child to a few therpists and get evaluations based on the chil'd story. It is possible you could seek damages for them hurting your child.

Screaming?

If you really mean screaming, then you need to IMMEDIATELY connect with the school board, and have someone look into this. It is absolutely not acceptable for an adult professional to be screaming in their workplace - in particular when addressing a minor.

If you feel that you're going to run into resistance from them, you might have your son bring a tape recorder to class, so that he can gather evidence that will force the district into doing something.

Otherwise, the GED is certainly a viable option.

You could just let him get his GED but then that teacher is still getting away with this. My 10 year old grandson took it upon himself to ask to talk to his school counselor (he's brave) and his school soon had one less teacher as the police got involved. Now he is the school hero because other kids thought they were the only ones she picked on and were too scared to say anything.

Well, my friend Karen's father just kicked the crap outta the teacher that was hounding her. I thought it was appropriate, and by the way, the teacher didn't yell at the kids anymore, but he did continue to teach for another years. Some times violence is the answer.

Don't give up!
Go to the school board and tell them the situation. If that does not work, then I'm afraid the GED would be the best option for your son.

Have you gone to the school to discuss this matter with the teacher? I suggest you have a parent-teacher conference, and if you need to, have one with the principal as well.

Go to someone on the school board if you can't talk to the principle.
