In our life time what has changed everything from commerce to our daily lives for the better is the integration of the desk top computer into the world wide web. This includes the hardware that allows everything to be possible
Before this we could not get a map of everywhere in this country at a moments notice. We had no automatic withdraw. We could not have the inventory precision we have today that allowed us to have a revolution in retail. The list goes on forever.

And what exactly did putting man on moon give us? Can you imagine a world now without the Internet? The fact that they put a man on the moon before the Internet was developed, suggests that on a technological level, the Internet was also a greater achievement.
