I like both. It depends on the situation. Sometimes the littlest things can have a greater heartfelt message than an expensive less thought out gift.

For the most part simple but everyonce in a while its nice to get an over the top gift, (but only if you can afford to do so)

I think its better to get a simple gift then an epensive gift because it means much more but also depending who its coming from.
