If you are a passenger, the first thing is to check and see if the flight was late also! Sometimes flights are delayed as much as "hours". Of course you should have already checked this out en-route to airport and let them know that you might be late (note they probably won't hold flight from departure for you!) But they might be able to expedite your boarding arrangements if they know who you are and that you are going to be a "little late". If the flight is already gone, - you can cry, - and get ready to wait for next flight out, - (and go through hassle of getting boarding pass for that one!)
If you are on the crew, - you better not be very late, and you WILL inform pilot of situation (ahead of time). After which you might better get prepared for having sore ears for a while!!

Uh, thats surely no longer a solid concept! A pneumothorax is a collapsed lung. once you circulate up in a airplane, there's a superior tension than on the floor, so there is much greater tension on the lung, there is an empty area the place the lung could be. this implies that for the time of an plane flight, the quantity of trapped air in gas crammed physique chambers will strengthen. hence, it interior reason properly wide-unfold that human beings with an untreated pneumothorax shouldn't take part in commercial flying because of the possibility of it enlarging and the conceivable progression of hysteria. Your BF desires to get to a wellness middle and get the pneumothorax taken care of out or its going to worsen and there's a intense possibility of him death on that flight.

If you're late for a flight and have a non-refundable ticket, you lose. You'll have to buy another ticket for the next available flight. This does NOT apply if you are late for a connection, however -- just go to any ticket counter and they'll get you on the next flight.
I've missed flights twice on non-refundable tickets and plead my case to the ticket agent at the counter. Told them there was a wreck on the highway coming in (true once, BS the other time) and they went ahead and re-booked me on the next flight anyway. I had to pay the re-booking fee ($100.00) but at least I wasn't out the cost of the tickets. Be nice to them, and they'll likely be nice to you.
If you're late for a flight and have an unrestricted ticket, just go to any ticket counter and they'll re-book you on the next available flight.

You will not be able to talk with the captain, if you are that late he is already in the flight deck, getting ready to leave.
You just need to suck up to the employee at the ticket counter and get them to book you on the next flight.
Oh yeah, don't be an A-Hole to them either, be very nice.
And don't make lame excuses, they hate that.

You cant, just rebook and wait for the next flight. Look on the bright side, maybe the plane you were supposed to get runs into bad weather and people get airsick or worse. You were the lucky one to miss that flight.
