First of all drsteve needs to remember that this is a place where people want to get answers to Their Questions, Hence the name;Yahoo answers. If you don't like the "teenager" Questions, then leave them to some one that can and will respond in a manner that is befitting. Now, on to your question: I think that it is great that you can respond in a physical way. To many people back off from the "little" gestures that mean so much, Especially in a new and young relationship.(old relationships ought to put that type of stuff back !) A kiss on the hand is a super way for a guy to say," I like you and I think that you are great. it is sort of a lost gesture, but I wish that it waould make a big come back!

I too am sick as hell of them, when I started answering them , I thought a good way to share some of my life experiences with someone who seemed like they were truly sincere about their lack of experience. the more I answer them, I get the feeling that it is mostly people that would rather manipulate others without putting anything on the line, I tell you what you did/do. you thought she would be impressed, that she would THINK it was nice. gurls don't think about that crap dude, they feel, and she felt you were trying to play her. she felt you thought she was a sucker. I will bet you five bucks you looked at her hand when you kissed it, fool , you should never do that , you should have looked in her eyes. she felt it was contrived because you didn't care enuf to look and see what she felt. so what you thought was suave, she felt was manipulating.

I'm sooooooo with ^ drsteve. ^ but to really help you out, my fiance first kissed me when we were on a lunch break together from work and it was our first time to "hang out", I told a joke and he laughed then laid a smacker on me. all I can say now is that we will be getting married next year after being together for 2 yrs.

Sounds to me as if you have a soft spot for your best friend. Explore the idea of being more than best friends...

Jeez! I am sick of these teenage "does he like me" "what do I do" questions.

These are TEMPORARY little relationships that will be meaningless when you look back on it later in life (stupid even). Get over yourself and your insecurities. Are all teenagers afraid of each other? You all seem to care WAY TOO MUCH about WHAT OTHER PEOPLE think about you. When you are a real grown-up, you care less and have REAL relationships.

Thank you

I really think you should get a life and possible get that stick out of your a** Dr. STEVE. Jeez! that's what i think. As for this question, i don't think it was stupid at all, it sounds kind of sweet. Nothing to be embarrased about.

just feel stupid for doing it,call your friend up and tell her that you feel stupid for doing that and both of you laugh it off. no big deal. at least you didn't kiss her beaver.
