If you take their at-home test (us.mensa.org), send it back to them, and you score well enough, they'll mail you a discount voucher to take one of their proctor exams (I did this). The proctored exam on National Test Day (sometime in October or November) was $30 before the discount 3 years ago (when I took the test for admission).
