I'm not too big on alcohol that isn't sweet, but I want to drink champagne. What's a good, affordable, perhaps sweet champagne?

Sweetest Champagne

I personally like dry champagne, so this is too sweet for me. I would recommend Asti Spumante. Almost everyone who likes the sweet taste likes this.

I used to bartend and served champagne on New Year's Eve and hardly anyone would drink it. I finally started serving Asti Spumante and they couldn't get enough of it.

You want to find an asti style sparkling wine. Brut is drier (less sweet). I'm old enough that my pallette has changed. I can't enjoy sweet wines too often anymore, so I can't really think of any astis to recommend. I have bought quite a few for under $20, even under $10.

Asti Spumanti

Although technically not a champagne (it's a sparkling wine), it's pretty darn good for the price.

Asti Spumanti, has all the bubbles you could want. A light taste and believe it or not, Walmart carrys a good Italian brand of this at a low price.

try a moscato di asti. its not champagne, but its a lightly sparkling white wine. has great fruit and is sweet, but no overbearing.

Try Austi Spumanti - Martini & Rossi, extremely awesome taste, light and bubbly, easy on the pocket.
