At your age a movie is the best thing you can really do. Either that or if you both share a common interest (an arcade, a tv show, cooking) you can do that together. But a movie is a good first date for younger people because it gives you a chance to be with eachother, but you have something to distract you from all the strange silences. If there is an icecream place close by, maybe you guys can walk there and get some ice cream after that.
But because this is your first date in general, I really sugguest seeing a movie either in a theatre or at one of your houses because neither of you are going to know what to do or say, but you just want to be together. If you have something to do and pay attention to it takes a lot of pressure off of the both of you.
Another little side note. If you both love sports or running, set up some days that you can take a little run for 20 mins or so. Not only is it healthy for you, but exercise causes your body to release certian chemicals that make you feel better, and it has been proven that people who are first starting a relationship have a better chance of surviving if they work out together. Maybe you two can go swimming or something if you both like it. The studies that have done this also say that if your first date is athletic, there is a huge chance of getting a second, and it lasts longer.

DON'T go to movie. You end up sitting next to each other for 2 hours (and $40) w/o saying a word.
Since it's a first date, don't go out to eat. That's too serious (and expensive) for a first date for a 13 year old. Starbucks would be OK, though (if you like hanging out drinking coffee).
Go somewhere that you can talk and have fun at the same time. Going to a park and hanging out on the swings would be good. The important thing for first dates is getting to know someone better. You don't need to spend money to do that.

you need to wait til you're 18 because there are other things you'll be taking time away from that you need for getting ready for adulthood..........trust me, 13 is too young to date. I did and wish I had done other things. And no, I didn't get pregnant, but there were other things I could've been doing and should've been doing.

well hopefully he will have something planned seeing that he asked you out. But if you guys don't have anything planned go see a movie. It's the safest way to go.

Jeez! I am sick of these teenage "does he like me" "what do I do" questions.
These are TEMPORARY little relationships that will be meaningless when you look back on it later in life (stupid even). Get over yourself and your insecurities. Are all teenagers afraid of each other? You all seem to care WAY TOO MUCH about WHAT OTHER PEOPLE think about you. When you are a real grown-up, you care less and have REAL relationships.
Thank you

Just act like friends. You have time and do not have to do anything to get it right. The guys think about sex all the time so be on your guard.
