Reply by saying "Oh, you hadn't shown (told) me that before so I was unnaware of that procedure. Thanks for finally showing me. I appreciate it." Smile sweetly.
Who could argue with that? Then you put the blame on her for not training you the way she should have. Kill her with kindness. It'll irritate the cr#p out of her but how can you reprimand someone for being polite?

that boss's phraseology was rude, unhelpful, unnecessarily insulting.
Probably the best response is something like, 'Well, You found me out. I'm not perfect. i made a human mistake."
"so sue me." should not be part of the response.
