It's not insecurity so much as intolerance that leads to problems. Insecurity is almost impossible to avoid, being doubting by nature as we are.
Intolerance is also difficult to avoid, being proud by nature as we are.
However, it's ultimately the latter that will create the most problems. In fact, like one other answerer said, if one is "too secure" one could actually overstep their boundaries and that might lead to the same results as intolerance.
So...you have seen the light, but not necessarily found it. =)

Well, In Islam, feeling secure is not a good thing, since it will lead us to sin and to make the world worse, as a matter of fact, I do not believe Bush would have gone to Iraq and kill Iraqies for oil if he didn't feel secure about it, and also the same with those who bomb themselves up from the "Muslim" world, since in Islam the prophet has warned us from killing ourselves, and he did not make an exception for those who will do it for the sake of Allah.. well back to your topic, well, I think feeling insecure and being afraid of feeling secure is a better idea, since that may going to help you be a better person, who cares to please God, and help people around you, while thinking not of getting reward but by the most High, Allah, in the day of judgment.. it may going to help you be Jesus, Moses and Muhammed, in other words, the believers who are close to God, Allah.. and if you want to know, how do I feel as a Muslim, well, to be honest, I am trying to be more religous than I am, I sometimes cry because of remembering sins which I have commited, because Allah has warned us from sinning, but I always immidiatly repent and ask forgiveness, as Allah has also encouraged us to repent, I try always to stop my self from sinning, I never had illegal sex, never had drugs, never had alcohol whatsoever, I also never had killed anyone.. I Thank Allah for not being like most people are today, I thank Allah for not doing any of what I have mentioned, and I ask Allah to guard me from all evil deeds and evil creatures with evil influence... and I ask Allah to guide you to Islam.. and make you remember that there can be no more than One God, not two not threeinity..

First, you must define "faith". As for religious faith, from a Christian perspective cool isn't what you're seeking. You're seeking devotion to Jesus Christ and surrendering your life and living for Him.
While it is cool to belong to various groups, faith as described in the first paragraph is cool only to God since one has joined the family of believers. However, it definitely feels and is cool to belong, just not for bragging purposes.
As for insecurity this could imply doubt. Questions about ones faith are always going to surface due to our human nature.
Have a nice day. :-)

Your mind should only be opened to accept what God has to say and what He expects us to do, then obey Him. The world is already opened minded to satan and his lies. Just look around. Were did that kind of open mindedness get them. This world is a geat big mess! its totally corrupt!

Yes, that's it :) There is a difference between questioning your faith and being open to discussions with others and being unsure of your path.

Yes. Jesus didn't tell the disciples to cram teachings down others throats. When people didn't believe, he just went somewhere else.
