It could mean alot of things ... rabies is just one of them... go see a doc.

It depends... you or the pet?
Dogs can excessively foam/drool when they get excited over something they want or even during really active play! It is not an all end guarentee that your dog has rabies...
Has the dog been bitten by other creatures? Outside in the wild? Take these things into consideration and then look at the other symptoms of rabies as well!

It probably is rabies if you're faoming from the mouth because it's the only disease I know of that causes foaming of the mouth in humans.

dogs will foam at the mouth if they pick up a toad. Toads have a built in defense that puts a very bad taste is the month of any animal that tries to eat it. If foam starts to run out of your dogs mouth look around for a toad.

not really my friend had a seizier and he had foam coming out of his mouth and he didn't have rabies!!! i hope that helps!!!

only way to tell for sure is to have your head sent to the state rabies lab for testing, just like they do for other animals
