I think you should see a doctor. There are medical conditions (sometimes serious ones) that can cause a person to have horrible body odor. Don't take the chance of missing something, take him to see a doctor. I'm sure he is probably very self conscious about it and wants to get to the bottom of the problem just as much as you do. Kids can be cruel and I would hate for him to be teased for this in school.

A good dermatologist is what your son needs. There are treatments for excessive perspiration. The good news is that there are several options for your son to try. Brad Straka, MD, a dermatology resident at the Medical College of Wisconsin, recommends the use of aluminum chloride hexahydrate (Drysol). One to three treatments a week for a few weeks should result in improvement , and then one treatment a week should suffice to maintain dryness. This is a prescription anti-perspirant and if this is the same one that caused irritation for your son, he could try aluminum tetrachloride (Xerac), a less potent solution.

Watch what he eat. Extracts of proteins and oils from certain foods and spices remain in your body's excretions and secretions for hours after eating them and can impart and odor. Fish, cumin, curry, and garlic lead the list. Keep calm, Getting sexually excited or feeling anxious and nervous will make you perspire more, If you anticipate a situation that is likely to upset you. no matter how much you're meditating or practicing deep breathing consider using an extra does of deodorant that morning

If he's on some kind of medication, that could be the problem.
At 14, if he's using drugs that you don't know about, they can cause a sweaty stink too... the body tries to rid itself of toxins by sweating.

when your body is toxic from bad diet and not drinking enough water, the toxins come out his skin...he needs to eat vegetables and drink water and if you want him to get rid of toxins fast and relieve his liver and spleen..you will get a health food store drink or supplement for him made of barley and alfalfa greens to lower the acid pH in his body so the kidneys can get rid of it...we have electrolytes and they regulate our kidney function and digestion...he is acidic...too much meat and junk food.
I am shocked he has no stomach problems, acne, insomnia and other things from it..read Dr. Young's miracle on the www..........he will teach you about this.

Take him to a doctor. Never try to self-diagnose. But, be positive, it may be something easily remedied.

Just a thought....Does he eat properly?
