Hinze chili sauce, grated horse radish, tobasco sauce to taste. This is the recipe used in a restaurant that I had once worked. Some people like to use thousand island dressing.

Tangy Shrimp Cocktail

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 pound medium shrimp -- shelled and deveined
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/4 cup chopped Spanish onions
2 ripe avocados -- chilled
salt and freshly ground pepper
lime wedges
Steam the shrimp until just done and red. Mix together shrimp, chili
sauce, lime juice, hot pepper sauce, tomato, and onions; refrigerate for 2
hours. Just prior to serving, chop the avocado and mix into the shrimp
mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
Garnish with lime wedges.

there's an english sauce that is pinkish: ketchup, mayo, lil bit brandy, tobasco, salt and pep and or horseradish for a kick.
