Yes, God says in the Quran that He has perfected the religion.
Islam is all anyone needs, for the rest of the existence of humanity. So far, history has proven its accuracy. No new major world religion (comparable to Islam, Christianity, or Judaism, etc.) has come up since Islam.
God did not abandon humanity, but rather gave his mercy to us by giving us a perfect religion. The message of Islam is enough.

I do not believe this as a Muslim. The spirit of prophecy did not begin with Muhammad, so why should it end with him? also Muslims believe that Jesus will return and he will most definitely be a prophet. furthermore in the book of revelation it states that the two witnesses to Jesus will have the ability of prophecy and they came after Muhammad. Muhammad is not the last prophet however Islam was the first and will be the last religion.

If Mo's blurb was enough there wouldnt be a need for Hadith!
If there was another prophet the mulla would have to kill him off because he would say things other than the jazz in the Q.
With the end of the Story so near-- I don't think there will be time fro another Mo.

Who knows really??
My take on that [i.e., being the "last prophet"] is that it's quite a clever marketing campaign strategy. It's his own bragging rights... when he showed up half a millennium AFTER Yeshua had come and gone.
Of course, that's only good until the "next" one comes along, and will claim THAT title, as being the LATEST "last prophet."
But so far NO ONE has claimed it yet, so really it's wide open now...
Peace be with you!

Let me add one more question: what exactly were the teachings of him different from those of Jaudism and Christianity? and why most Islamic beliefs/worshipping are very similar to Jews and pre-islamic pagans?
