I don't like any lite beers. I like my beer to be bold and full flavored. I foolishly drank bud lite once, that was the last time any budweiser and indeed any lite beer passed my lips.
I have found that you can savor beer in the same manner as wine. Where the hops were grown and what type of malt go into it is just as important as where grapes come from. Plus beer making takes considerably more skill than wine making. But if you want the best tasting beer, make it yourself.

It contains about 5% alcohol. And i wouldn't say everyone drinks it. Its more of a chugging beer. The reason a lot of lite/light beer is sold is because a lot of people binge drink and they would like to drink a lot of beer without the feeling of a heavy stomach. Some also drink lite beer because its the beer of choice for the demograpic. It is possible to have college aged people buy lite beer (Miller Lite) and have post graduates/people in their 30's and older buy more sophisticated beer (MGD, Bud).

Not everyone does. But it sure seems like a lot do. Personlly I think lite beer, Coors and Bud in particular has no flavor. A lot of americans seem to be afraid of strong tastes so they eat bland food and drink bland beer. Also, they like feel like part of a big crowd, so they go with what's popular. However, there is a lot of good, flavorful beer brewed in the US...there are a lot of smaller breweries so if you ever come here you don't have to drink bland beer.

No, but many (most?) drink one of the major brands of pilsners ... Budweiser, Michelob, Coors, Miller, etc. Most light brands of beer contain only a little bit less alcohol than the regular varieties, although the brands I mentioned above are already fairly low in alcohol, compared to other non-pilsner styles of beer (stouts etc) ... between 3 and 4% by volume.
I'm not sure about this "everyone in the States" bit. Actually the several times I've been in London, I've noticed that American brand pilsners are popular with young people there.

If we are talking about color, light beers do tend to be more popular in the US, compared to darker beers (like Guinness). Darker beers are making significant gains for their more robust taste and health benefits (darker beer contains greater concentrations of flavonoids, shown to lower risk of prostate cancer and heart disease).
Depending on the brand and location, "light" (reduced-calorie) beer is anywhere from 3.2 to 9% Alcohol by volume. Some locals limit or even prohibit the sale of any beer with alcohol content greater than 3.2% by volume in retail stores.

Light beer contains 3.5% alcohol, whereas full flavor is between 5%-6% content. Wine has 12% - 16%
Alot of people drink light beer because of the lo-carb craze, I call it beer flavored water.

Light Beer compaired to full flavor> the only difference between the 2 is light beer has less fillers. Meaning calories it doesent have any less alcy. But if your from over seas you would think that our beer is not as strong because they put more alc. in yours. So in a way your right.

those are an same those that made "twilight" a maximum proper promoting sequence. an same those that determined that mcmansions needed to be outfitted on each very last little bit of open area interior of 30 miles of any city. an same those that made "American idol" the enormous choice a million prepare. They made mcdonalds right into one billion dollar organisation. you actually assume those senseless hordes to understand good beer? that is really worth noting that there are in reality some extremely large american beers available, they in simple terms fee more effective and/or are somewhat harder to locate.
