I would like your personal feelings about seeing millions thrown in a lake of fire to be tormented and tortured for eternity. (hell). Will this bring you joy? Will this glorify God? Will you be smug and satisfied? Will any of these be in your own family? Could any of them be your children? Or your parents? Does this make Christ victorious? I don't want any scripture, just want your true feelings. I want to hear whats in your heart.

Thanks bkempress718 for calling me stupid! I have accepted Jesus as my Savior. This is just a question for Christians, because I want their feelings on this subject. I cry everytime I think of anyone being thrown there, because I love everyone, just like Jesus told me to! And you have me judged before already!

By asking this question, I have met a lot of judgemental Christions today, as well as some very compassionate ones.

why call yourself christian when it is a religion of torture cruelty hypocracy lies and murder/killing.

So much blood has been shed by the Church because of an omission from the Gospel: "Ye shall be indifferent as to what your neighbor's religion is." Not merely tolerant of it, but indifferent to it. Divinity is claimed for many religions; but no religion is great enough or divine enough to add that new law to its code.

My study of the bible leads me to a different understanding of "hell." The eternal separation and the burning are two different things. To a living creature there is no worse punishment than permanent separation from the source of life (ie eternal death). The burning is part of the cleansing of the earth from evil - the whole earth, not just the evil people left here. When it's all been burn and cleansed then God will recreate the earth as it should have been.

So I don't believe that those who are not saved (and how that is defined is a different questions) will burn in hell for eternity. My God is a merciful God and does not delight in suffering. Still, even by my understanding it will not be pretty and no one watching the final destruction of evil will be "smug and satisfied." I can't imagine heaven being full of the kind of people who would be. But there will be no place for sin in the new creation and people who would choose sin over God would not be happy there. Ultimately, I believe the end will be the most merciful solution that the situation allows.

First let me premise this by saying everyone has the same opportunity to accept Jesus and be assured of eternal life in heaven with God. It is a choice not a sentence. Second, I personally do not picture hell as an actual lake of fire and torment. The torment to me will be the burning realization that they had a chance and chose to not take it. God does not will that anyone be seperated from him.

Have you ever made a bad choice and felt terrible about it after? Just multiply that times eternity and you may be able to see what I am talking about.

You go through very similar pain and suffering as to the lake of fire whle in human form IF you have not yet met Jesus. You cannot dodge the facts by dancing around them with this type of "cry in your milk" reasonings. Seeing someone thrown into the lake of fire who spent their life ignoring the plain facts, dodging the plain truths and creating pains and sufferings for others will not bother me in the slightest. Just the same as telling someone over and over not to do something and then they get hurt doing it. It doesn't bother me that they get hurt but it encourages me that perhaps finally they have learned not to do what it was that hurt them. Giving your life to Jesus doesn't mean most of what your Sunday Christians say it means. I can tell you are confused about it and are a bit angry because of your ongoing confusion. Satan is alive and well here on planet earth and he has every intention of confusing you to the point that you will be glad to join him in the lake. Once you meet Jesus it will all become so clear to you. The truth will indeed set you free and these types of questions will never enter your mind again.
Peace to you and may you seek Him openly and honestly. If you do He will greet you and dine with you.

It's really hard to answer this without refering to scripture. I guess to the joy and glorify God, smug and satisfied questions I would have to answer that this is what God set up his judgements are his own and have little or nothing to do with my feelings one way or the other. Could they be my children or my parents - sure. They could be yours too. Each person has their own path to tread. Does this make Christ victorious - beats me, again that isn't my job.

Wonder why Christians talk so much about Jesus, ???? that's because we do not want anyone to be dead forever. I believe what Revelation says that the lake of fire means the second DEATH. God does not want them dead either, that is why he sent Jesus. Why don't people get the point? In the end, we choose life or death. The situation is a big mess!

Many angels and humans will not want to live under God's authority, it is depressing.

Will this bring you joy? No.

Will this glorify God? Yes.

Will you be smug and satisfied? No.

Will any of these be in your own family? Maybe.

Could any of them be your children? Maybe.

Or your parents? Probably not.

Does this make Christ victorious? Yes.

Hope you take the time to look deeper than the shallowness of this question.

Really? Ok.

I think its sad, I think it will be a very sad day to see people thrown into eternal torment. It does ot bring me joy, and I suppose in some way it MAY glorify God, but he doesnt want to do it. We have all had a chance to hear His word, and for those who reject it, it very specifically says thats whats going to happen. So, I dont feel pity for them. They heard the consequence of rejection, and made their choice. He doesn't like it, we are all his children, but it is His punishment of wich we all know. Smug and satisfied, no, not at all. The Bible tells us we will feel sorrow, we will feel pain to know they are going to hell.

Will some be my family? Yes, I know some of them will. Even my fiance, One of them may be my Dad. I have 4 kids, and one of them could be one, or all my children. I would feel guilty, that I had not tried harder to reach them, but in the end it was there own desicion. Does it make Christ victorious, I dont think so. I think it will pain God and Christ as much as it will pain me.

God loves all of us, we are his children. Just like a parent who dislikes punishing his child, it is sometimes necessary. Same thing, in a broader way.

Thats what is in my heart, but as an off point, did you really want to know, or was this some sarcastic remark?

Scripture is in my heart! Do I want to see my family go to hell, no! But let me say this, on the Day of Judgment I will be in perfect agreement with Christ. I tell the good news until the day that I die! It is a choice that we all have to make and if my family rejects Christ or anyone for that matter rejects Him it is their own fault, because everyone will hear the good news at one point in their lives!

We all have our own interpretations of scripture. Personally, I believe that far more will enter heaven than hell. I believe there are several tiers of heaven and hell. Ex. even if I live a good and faithful life, I don't deserve the same heaven as a Mother Teresa, Pope, or the prophets. Likewise, If I denied Christ and lived a sinful, self-absorbed life, I wouldn't deserve the same hell as Hitler, Stalin, Napoleon, etc. The bible says that in heaven we are reborn. I don't think we will remember people in this world. It would be too sad to know someone we loved is in hell.

dear friend I know this is very disturbing for you and I am glad. I hope that you continue with this evangelistic flame. The Lord as put it in your heart, the burden of souls. And who knows, might be the Lord is calling you to be an evangelist. I believe some times we forget Chist's Great commision and we can do a lot more than what we are doing. I am praying that God will breath on us, and so a great revival will break out and souls will be saved and Christians will once have the zeal for true witnessing.
