Becuause "his ideas" are more fun then his competition.... at least, short term.

If people think satan is seriously cool it is because they are rebelling against the bible. But if people don't believe in the bible or hell, that's a different matter. For these people there simply is no hell or satan, which is why it's easy to make jokes about them. I personally don't believe in god or satan, so when people try to preach at me to change my mind, I usually find it humerous.

I will try to see if I can answer your question from a Theological stand point. First you must realize that you can not come to God unless the Holy Spirit (convicts) draws you. Dear friend I must tell you that many hear the gospel but if the father does pull you you cannot come to him. This is some deep Theoloogy. Read the scripture Romans 8 to get a thorough understanding.

B/c he enables us to enjoy the finer things in life (alcohol, sex and rock and roll) w/o feeling like with did something wrong.
I enjoy these at a decent pace, over extending can get you in trouble...this is the key.
Others might like Satan b/c he's anti "establishment" and right now, the establishment is not doing to well. Killing in wars, spying, etc.

Some people believe this because they are immature or mentally ill. Satan is about as real as a cartoon character is. He is just a pretend power figure for someone who feels weak or unsure of themself to identify with--or to blame i.e. "the devil made me do it."

I think some people are attracted to the fact that Satan doesn't go around calling people sinners and accepts people as they are..........At least I think that is why some people like Satan....

Because they are trying to look cool infront of other people which they don't and also is because Satan can tempt them to "think he is cool" because they let him or don't know how to not let him tempt them like that. Satan sucks.

For the same reason people believe in God.
God gives something to you, right?
Satan gives something to others. You cannot, under any moral reason hate someone for not believing in what you believe in. It's not right, and I don't think "God" would approve.
If they want to believe in Satan, so be it.
I don't believe in either. :)
