The white people invaded nothing. They built a country by blood, sweat and tears. These so called "native Americans" came here from Siberia only 20,000 years ago. The U.S.A made treaty after treaty with the Indian then the Indians would on the war path and break the treaties. The uncivilized Indians massacred and raped many thousands of innocent women and children. The whites have done nothing but try to civilize the Indians. Most Indians are pampered, spoiled, lazy and do not work getting drunk daily on their reservations at taxpayer expense. The taxpayer also pays the Indians' other living expenses via twisted welfare laws.

The Indians were raping, killing, enslaving, and stealing, etc. from one other untill the whites came along with their law and order and put an end to such misdeeds.

Sorry to bust you bubble, but the white man has broken every treaty we made with the Indians, once the indians gave their word that was it, because they did not no how to lie, they didn't no what that was, until the white man came, you really need to study about the indians, we were always moving them to different parts of the country, because more people were coming in and we needed more land, and we gave them the worst parts of the land, it was hard for them to hunt and grow crops. We did some good for the Indians, but most was horrible. The Indians were I live run casinos and are making big bucks, and I say good for them and they contribute to the community a great deal. Indians have always been taught to give back, and they do a great job. Yes whites built this country they wrote the constitution and they made the laws, they did most of the fighting getting this country together, and whites have been dieing in all of the wars more than any other race, not because their were not other races fighting it's just their were more whites. But you can't dis the Indians because we have done them wrong, and you no they are the most patriotic people they are proud to be American even if they still live on reservations. they love this country. When they have celebrations on their reservations, they always have the red, white and blue flying. I have heard Indians say the ones that do the most good with the land deserve the land. And I think we have done pretty good.

I'm sensing some anger towards the Native American people. Making up things about them is not helping anyone and frankly, it's making you look like an imbecile. The whites did a lot more than trying to "civilize" them. Do you call civilizing stealing they're land, killing them with guns when all they had were hand made weapons, spreading diseases to their people which killed a humongous portion of them, destroying their villages? If so, then we did a fine job at "civilizing" them.

Just because they had came to this continent from another doesn't change them being the natives. They were here long before ANYONE else. They had lived here for generations upon generations. It was their land and no one had any right to steal it from them and enslave and brutally murder their people. Historians estimate that 80% of the Native Americans died due to the diseases that the Europeans brought over.

In the late 19th century in an effort to "civilize" the Native Americans, Native American children were sent to "Indian Boarding Schools." The schools were run by Christians which was traumatic for the Native American children because the people forbid them to speak their native languages and were not allowed to practice their religions and instead were taught Christianity. There are also documented cases of sexual, mental, and physical abuse occuring at those schools that were supposed to "civilize" them.

I don't know how you can believe what you said. You have to be one of the most naive and ignorant people i've ever heard of.

Only 20,000 years ago? Gee, that's only, Longer than recorded history! Strict constructionists of the Bible, such as William Jennings Bryant in the Scopes Monkey Trial, believed that the earth had not existed as long as seven thousand years. And you say thate "Native Americans have been here 20,000 years. It is commonly held that the human species is no more than 50,000 years old, gee, that means they were here 2/5 of the existence of the human species. If the Indians raped and massacred thousands of innocent women and children, did they do that to some unknown people when they arrived? Did they do that to each other? Did they do that to white folks before Columbus (while the whites were still in europe)? or maybe they did it AFTER WE STOLE THEIR LAND?

Is it necessary for someone to "civilize" a native population, or can they do that themselves by watching and copying. Wasn't it self-civilization (copying other so-called civilized peoples) when they learned to drink alcohol, rape , get STD's, abandon their crops, and over hunt the land (which they copied from whites)?

Oh by the way, about signing treaties, if someone got your unsophisticated daughter liquored up and took advantage of her, saying she agreed then changed her mind, who's side would you be on?

Whos fairy tales have you been listening to? Ever hear of Kennewick man? And I believe that if a people called a place home for 20,000 years with no one to dispute such claim, you could call us NATIVES. How long has the United states been in existence as a country?, NOT LONG! only since 1776 its now 2006. you do the math bright guy. My people never came FROM anywhere. We have ALWAYS since the first day been here. You need to get some government grants to update your history books, It is very obvious to me that you have absolutely NO CLUE as to what your spouting. you say that the "whites" tried to civilize the Indins, Was the Cherokee trail of tears a lesson in White civilization?, Was the massacre at bear butte a lesson in civilization?, were the many battles fought by the Nez Perce tribe a lesson in civilization?, were the boarding school programs a lesson in civilization?, and I recall some "ancient history" called "The Indian wars" whereby the White American government attempted to solve its "Indian Problem" by mass genocide with the U.S.A. Calvary at the front of the charge! One of My ancestors who was a well respected leader was hung from a cottonwood tree for hunting elk. Civilization huh? At least we never had an "illegal immigration" problem. And we are still here you idjit. Iwork 50 + hours a week to have you try to call us lazy! I pay taxes knothead. I am no drunk and I know many NATIVE AMERICANS like myself, sober and free. I am a native american, and you are simply ignorant, your welcome for the education.

You are very ignorant to say such a thing. It was a WAR!! The native Americans were fighting against the white man for their HOMELAND. Just like any countryman would fight against invaders from another country. So what if there WAS raping and murdering. That is nothing new in war. It happens in all wars. That was HISTORY!! Treaties were broken, on both sides. Native Americans did not choose to be put on reservations. They were forced there. Later they were given assistance. What is your point? Are you just trying to stir up anger within the LEGAL American community? Are you trying to divide us on an issue that is in the past? That is HISTORY. Americans are not ignorant enough to succumb to that kind of tactic. Go back to your skunk hole and stay there.

Your history is not quite accurate. Many indian nations fought right along side the white man to stop the raiding nations that the white man betrayed by violating the treaties, and taking their land.
I am of indian heritage, which means that my ancestors came here as you put it, 20,000.00 years ago.
So, I guess since I am also a tenth generation American, and have been American for about two hundred years.
I have a right to say something.
In the nation that I know today, I find that I must choose, between the heritage of my past, or the heritage of my future.

I choose my future.
How about you.

American money flow on American soil is controlled by Americans, and is the most powerful tool that we have to get our government's attention.
Politics, is how we deal with them.

Any American that knows anything about politics, knows that, and if they don't I entended to remind them.

It is the legal, and illegal Mexicans in America that have done the most damage, and insulted the American people the most, so that is where Americans are going to begin.

Close your wallet, join the American People in their fight against criminals, stop giving them what they want so they will go home.
It is all about the money. Not the politics
As long as the money keeps a flowing the illegals will keep a coming.

Ouch!
Yes the settlers put in hard times.
Not all Indians were savages-some tried hard to build this new nation and joined it
War does funny things-both parties committed terrible crimes.
No they were not all lazy and spoiled, many helped the settlers and vice a versa.
Some Indians today do not want Illegals or any more in. So they are on the save the US side. And have joined the Minutemen . Some feel different they are people with many ideas.
And they have a right to feel how they want.

Okay there you ignorant, ignorant little person...The Europeans came here to find an amazingly peaceful and orderly nation of INDIGENOUS people. The land was rich with potential, and of course the whites wanted it all to themselves. Indigenous persons were never given an opportunity or choice to "give" the land to the settlers. It was taken by force; and if any village tried to protect the land that they had resided on for many many years, they were slaughtered! The Indigenous peoples had a superior constitution to that of any other in the world. Law and order was present BEFORE the europeans came and tried to impress thier so-called laws upon my ancestors.
Do some reading and you will find that the United States Constitution was modeled after the Iroquois "Great Binding Law". After the British discovered that the constitution of the natives were absolutely superior to any confederation they have EVER seen, they copied the IROQUOIS confederations ways! Still using it today there smart guy!
IF YOU WANT TO GET TECHNICAL, NOBODY IS NATIVE TO ANYWHERE! EVERYONE CAME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE, THE FACT STILL STANDS THAT THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES WERE HERE THOUSANDS OF YEARS BEFORE THE EUROPEANS-SO JUST EXCEPT IT AND QUIT TRYING TO FIND A REASON TO JUSTIFY YOUR IGNORANT BELIEFS IN THE HISTORY OF THE "NATIVE AMERICANS"!!! YOU OBVIOUSLY NEED A LITTLE MORE EDUCATION BEFORE YOU TRY TO ANAYLIZE A SITUATION SUCH AS THIS.
EUROPEANS BROUGHT THE ALCOHOL; ALCOHOLISM EXISTED IN WHITE PEOPLE FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS BEFORE THE NATIVES, BECAUSE WE HAD NO BOOZE, UNTIL THE DRUNKEN ALCOHOLIC SETTLERS BROUGHT IT HERE!
CHECK OUT THE PROFOUND PARALLELS OF THE US CONSTITUTION AND THE IROQUOIS CONFEDERATIONS LAWS(WHICH EXSISTED FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS BEFORE EUROPEANS SET FOOT ON THIS LAND!)...AND TRY CHECKING INTO HOW IN 1987 THE US SENATE MADE A PUBLIC ADMISSION THAT THE CONSTITUTION WAS MODELED AFTER THE IROQUOIS'...HERE'S AN ANSWER TO YOUR MORE OBVIOUS PROBLEM-READ BEFORE YOU WRITE.

I missed who posted this and Gee! I am glad I did. How ignorant you sound! Please research your history and not just the
"white man's " history. Indigenous People (native americans), were not uncivilized. They also did not come from Siberia! The Native Americans had to help the first settlers to survive their first Winter here! Then when they became greedy the Native Americans had to protect their land! And Families. It is disgusting what so many Euros people did to the Native Americans. Killing , torturing, raping! Consider our reaction to the attack of 9/11!!!!! Is it so different from the Natives attacks on the Euros who invaded their LAND?? I think not!

uh, they were raping and massacring the whites because the whites lied to them and stole their land. The whites were forcing the Indians off of the land their ancestors lived on. The whites spread smallpox and other diseases to the Indians and forced them into slavery. it's the whites' fault the Indians weren't doing any work. The country the whites "built" is crappy, racist, lying, bitchy, and spoiled. The soil we tread on and build our houses on is stolen land. instead of sharing it with the Indians, the whites took it all to themselves.
