You could take him out to dinner. Or If he has a hobbie or favorite sport, you could find out if their is anything in your area, that may interest him , like miniture golf, fishing,( in maine you can fish without a fishing license on fathers day I believe),Maybe you could even take him to some of the places you like to hang out,and explain to him why you like the place,so, he feels closer to you,and knows you trust him,and want him to be a part of your life always, and your not ashamed of him being where you hang out.their are lots of things you could do,go for a walk, and let him into your life, give him a card while your walking.walks are spontanous, you can be seriuos, foolish, just take the moments as they come, but don't forget to tell him you love him.

i would suggest a whole-day activity for your dad. Bring your dad out for a sumptuous breakfast to start out for the day. how often do you children gets up early just to accompany your dad for breakfast? Next, send him home and join him watching movies, playing chess or ball games.. anything light but fun. It can be board games like monopoly or something; just fill his day wif his children. In e evening, it's time to make dinner or get a cake and celebrate daddy's day. Sing him a song, kiss him and ask him to make a wish or something. The best is to show how much you appreciate your dad especially on father day (i mean love him everyday). Good luck.
