The freedom to think for oneself. You mention Bible, someone else says Quran. Are you so sure that the other could not possibly be right? Did you come up with that decision yourself or were you just brought up that way and were too lazy to think for yourself.

I mean nothing personal directed to you by my remark, but do you see the point I have tried to make?

It is the realization that God and almost all biblical tales are manmade creations. It feels much better to live for my family, friend, and way of life than to follow these ancient ideas. I find peace in the fact that we are all so lucky to be here amongst such a chaotic universe. Evolve, baby!

Why do you (and so many others on this site) feel the need to question (particularly in a disparaging manner) the religious beliefs of others?

God gave us all free will, so just be at peace with what you believe, and let everyone else be at peace with what they believe.

The desires of the flesh of course. Loosing control of ones´ own will for the purpose God´s plans for us. It is difficult for some to let God take the driver´s seat in our life, and for us to seat beside him or safely by the back seat.
