When I was 4 years old My parents weren't taking me to church and I never stayed at anyones house they never left me with anyone so the only things that I knew about was what they told me. All in the same year 3 people in my life had died. My grandmother, my 18 year old half sister and my mom lost a baby when she was 8 months pregnant. My dad stayed at home and my mom worked as a nurse. On our way to pick up my mom from work out of the blue I told my dad that Jesus wanted me to come live with him. Scared to death that God was going to take me too, they started taking me to church. Well my point is how does a 4 year old that hasn't been told about God still know who he his? Is that not proof enough that God is real? Please real answers only. No jokes please.

To respond to the rebel: No Jesus hasn't taken me to live with him YET. One day I will.

It is definitely proof enough. At 4 you of course under the age of accountability, and were a child of God, whether you consiensly knew it or not. Just keep the faith, and know that He loves YOU , and someday EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that HE is Lord.

I'm sure you probably heard it somewhere - children are bombarded with information every day, so unless you can say that your parents never had a TV or radio, then you probably heard it.
There is no proof that God is real. That is what faith is, and either you believe or you don't believe. People who have experienced headaches will tell you that they are real, but there are no lab tests that can confirm the presence of a headache. So it is up to each of us as individuals to decide what we believe. There are many religions, many types of spirituality, and if you believe, and it makes you a more fulfilled, compassionate, and better person because of it, then what is the harm?

You remembered from your past life. Young children tend to remember things easier before they grow up and forget details from their former life.
Many children can be born already knowing how to play music, have a gift of genius, etc. The same thing can happen with spirituality. If you were a Christian and a strong devotee of Jesus in your previous life, then you just remembered it as a child.
I remembered I was a Hindu in my past life recently, and I felt like I was coming home to Hinduism when I started reading about it a few years ago.
When Amma was a toddler, she kept singing songs and praying about Krishna. No one yet talked to her about Krishna.

You may have a very sensitive spirit. I can't say yes or no to your question, but it is unusual for someone so young to have an awareness of G-d; unless you overheard something from someone else that really grabbed your attention. I think this is cool! You do know there's a Scriptural story about a boy named Samuel who had a drawing towards G-d at a young age, too.

I beleive that God speaks through us and that you did the right thing. I see all children have a certain innocence that God uses. I think that one day when the LORD does come back, that all people that have rejected Him will realize but it will be too late!

Personally, I think it is almost part of who you are. The Bible tells us there is evidence of God in everything around us, and even in the hearts of men.
Maybe, you had heard it spoken and dont remember it. Thats a logical answer, but I like mine better :)

Ooh that gave me chills! God has no limits and used a 4 year old to call your family to Him. I love it!

Like fruitnroo said, children do seem to have a special connection to the divine.
