I've taken finance, mgt accting, and financial accting all at the introductory level. Are these enough for me to perform the duties as a credit analyst? Will the CFA does any good?
thanks

Have you finished your degree yet?
If not make sure you finish with a B.S. in either Finance or Econ. The CFA exam is rather difficult and should be a long term goal, for the moment try to concentrate on a firm that specializes in this area...for example Goldman Sachs!!!!! We offer a 2 year program that new employees enter upon graduation--everything you need to know to be an analyst is taught in our courses.

Good Luck!

Yes -- the CFA would help.

You ought to take a case-based course in Corporate Finance and a class in Securities Analysis -- and should think about taking more accounting.

It wouldn't hurt to have a Microeconomics class, a Macroeconomics class and a class in statistics or econometrics.

Other finance classes (fixed income, derivatives) would be nice but mainly for the peripheral knowledge.
