If there is no such thing as an absolute truth, then, how can there be order in the world? Before Jesus left His disciples, He told them that they are fortunate to have seen and believed in Him. But to those who have not seen Him and yet believes, He greatly favors. Yes, it is difficult to believe in something that we do not see. Yet, in everything that surrounds us, wont we not find it amazing that there is a logic, an order, a purpose for everything that is created? And of course, the Bible is created for the purpose of enlightening us about the God we worship! That He did not create us to stay here on earth for no reason at all! In all of the scriptures in the Bible, we find the nature, the existence and above all the love God has for us! Whether we believe this book or not is up to us, but the absolute truth about God, as stated in the Bible, is forever!

my opinion - the Bible is a story based on some happenings of the time when it was written. It's not complete truth - but that's my humble opinion.

That being said, there is a lot of proof of evolution - scientific proof. There is no scientific proof that a God actually exists.

Additionally, the country was not founded on the Bible - true, religion did play a role in the foundation of the United States, but mainly, the country itself was created to escape monetary opression initiated by the British monarchy in the 1780s (see "Revolutionary War", or "Continental Congress".

God did not write the Bible. The Bible is a collection of stories handed down over the ages. You know what happens when you spread a story - it gets "confused". I'm certain that a lot of the Bible is more or less a "he said, she said" book.

If you want to believe that God wrote it and left it for us, that's up to you. But the truth is, God did not write, nor did he dictate the Bible.

First, God didn't write anything, men did.
After the original "men" wrote it, other "men" came along and re-wrote it, over, and over, and over.
So did you ever do the party game where everyone sits in a circle, and the first person whispers a short story to the person next to them. Then that person whispers to the next, the same story, and so on. By the time it gets to the last person, the original story has changed so much as to be almost unrecognizable. That happens within a few minutes, so, what could happen over say a couple of centuries or more?
I have no problem with "blind" faith, it's just not for me. I am not saying that I do not believe in a supreme being because I do, I just don't take the stories in the bible as absolute fact because,
they are not facts, they are stories that have been translated and rewritten so many times over so many years.

That's not even a real question because you answered it yourself.

I doubt you're really interested in my opinion - but I think that everyone has the right to think and believe what he wants.

Opinions are opinions - and if you believe in God, you should be aware that he gave us our free will to see and understand the world he created.

He didn't give us this gifts - our ability to learn, to think and to *have* opinions - to stay mute.

Everyone is allowed and *asked* to state what he thinks.

If you think that evolution is a lie, it is ok for me, even if I don't think you are right. Please let others think what they want, as well.

Why should evolution be a lie if God has started it - if the genesis the bible is a picture for this wonder that the development of life is?

Why should this be against God? - He gave us our brain, he gave us the ability to learn. For me it is an offense against God not to use this abilities - and to ignore the results of modern science is such an offense against God.

Of course, this is just *my* opinion - and my view on this subject.

I respect your point of view, but I ask you to do the same with mine.

The World Christian Database claims that there are over 9,000 Christian denominations. Why do you think there are so many? Because there are at least over 9,000 interpretations of the Bible JUST WITHIN the group of people who call themselves CHRISTIANS. THEY can't even agree!

This country was founded by people who came here BECAUSE of religious persecution - FROM OTHER CHRISTIANS. Therefore, they understood that people can't agree about religion and so they established this country on the principle of religious tolerance, in which NO religion (or book) is ever made out to be the "official" set of beliefs. It is that principle - that we can all have different opinions - which made our country so unique at its foundation, and so great.

One, the country was not founded on the bible. Two, this country is based on the belief that poeple can believe whatever they want to believe. Three, evolution has been proven, but it doesn't mean that God doesn't exist. Wow that was a mouthful.

The founding fathers were mostly atheist and did not use the bible or religion when writing the constitution.

The King James bible is just a rehash of Constantine's bible and neither are worthy of accepting as anything other than what they are, poorly written mythology.

A lot of people think the Bible is a story, others believe it is symbolic, and many believe it word for word..and that is just within the sects of Christianity. If you're a practicing Christian and follow the Bible than perhaps you shouldn't judge or look down on others because what they believe is different than what you believe.

Why can't you accept that your God is fake and shut up with your opinion? Also, creationism is a lie, and if you've ever read the Bible, you know it's nowhere near perfect.

Its not written by God, its (supposedly) written by Jesus's disciples(the New Testament that is).

It doesnt matter what this country is founded upon, God created this country and can destroy it any time He wills.

God's Literal Word and Perfect book is the Qur'an.
