Your question is faulty because it implies that every single person on this earth has made this decision and I know enough wacked out Jesus freaks who do have a personal relationship with him, though they are really having a personal relationship with their ego and their church.
A relationship is a two way street and if you think Jesus or God is talking to you then you probably need a therapist. Jesus and God don't talk to people. If you think they are talking to you, guess what? You might be schizophrenic!

Because I don't believe he is the son of God. I love him as he was a Prophet and we should love and respect all prophets(peace be upon them all)
But I do have a personal relationship with God. I worship Him and Him alone. I pray to only Him. When I need help I go to Him.

Because I already have a personal relationship with God, Whom nothing resembles, and Who created Jesus and every other human being upon this earth.

For the same reason I have not decided to have a personal relationship with Ghandi, or Moses, or Helen of Troy.

I want to keep my relationship professional. I am attracted to women. If I decide to be attracted to male Mexican gardeners I'll give him a kiss. If I get too personal with Jesus and have to fire him that would bother me.

Because I don't want to go looking for him.
It's too hot outside.
Plus since I've never met the guy, I don't know if I'd like him.
From what I hear, he was quite a groovy, peace-loving hippie-type dude, but that's a little too laid back for me. And the whole god being in charge thing doesn't appeal to me.

because jesus does not exist joshua ben josef does ask your pastor pope or pimpin preacher, the guy that you disrespectfully call jesus is your brother and you should build a relationship with the almighty creator and mere acknowledge the accomplishments of your breathren in the creators cause.

Why have you not decided to have a personal relationship with, say.....Kali Ma yet? ;-)
The tables can be turned around. I have decided that I needed (not just want) to be honest with myself that I don't believe in "god". If I am more open to being honest with myself, then I am more able to be honest with the world around me. :-)

Because he didn't exist. And, even if he did, God does not exist, the bible is a poorly written book of mythology, and there is no evidence to support believing imaginary friends are going to do anything for us, good or bad.
