Tough question. If he's stolen money, and it can be proven, I would file criminal charges against him. As far as withdrawing from parents and family, he is an adult, and can do what he wants to. Try to maintain some type of contact, and determine why. If he's stealing money, he may be supporting a drug habit, and perhaps his family can get him some help.

He might be on drugs and you don't know it.....
Someone may have done something to him that he's ashamed of...
At any rate..let him know you love him and you are always there should he ever really need you..if you've tried everything all you can do now is give him time...if he's not telling or listening there is nothing more you ca do.

its hard ...but ...if u have his address...send a card..stating that you love him..and always will...and hope that one day he will realize that; then as hard as it may be ...let go...he will need you at one point or something will happen that will make him realize how wrong he is...all in all ...it takes time...have patience and good luck!
i tend to send alot of cards..have to keep the snail mail in business...i send cards with just a simple saying..like ...."hugz and kisses" , "i miss you", "just letting you know i am thinking of you today", etc...simple words go a long way in life!!!
