If we are with a group of friends and he rubs my back, or touches my arm when he is telling a story, but no one elses - what does that mean?
We do spend more time together than the others, but do his signs mean that I am a better friend to him than the others or does it mean more???

come right out and ask him, i would.
could be he's just friendly, or he's after you. you will not know this till you ask him straight out.

i would take it as a sure sign he likes you. if he didn't he wouldn't be so touchy feely. you can tell instantly when a guy likes you by the way he looks at you, talks to you and how much body contact he gives you
