* The KM 5D is a mediocre (for the price) digital SLR. Here's an in depth review: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/maxxum5d.html
* The review for the Sony A100 is still in the works: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/alpha100.html
* 3 frames per second means that it can take 3 pictures every second (there is no need to advance film, of course)
* Self timer means that you can make it wait a few seconds before taking the picture (for example, so that you can set it up and jump in the picture yourself)
If you're in the market for an entry level digital SLR - the cameras you mentioned are $700 to 900 - I can highly recommend the Canon Rebel XT, the Nikon D50 and the Nikon D70s. You can use the website I gave you for full reviews of those models, too.

Your question is kind of confusing. You may want to add more info. Minolta just got purchased by Sony. So now Sony is producing camera using Minolta technology. DSLR is digital single lens reflected camera. The 3 frame per sec I think you are referring to burst mode when the camera fire shots continuously. How many shots it can fire per sec depends on the processor speed. Self timer is the timer you use to take picture of yourself. You put the self timer on and take the picture and the camera delay for 15 seconds and take the shot. That allows you time to get into the picture yourself.
