As we all know, there has never been a movie which critically evaluates Islam nor will there ever be. On the other hand, countless movies, critical of christianty, have been produced.

The reason we havent and wont see the same about Islam is because everyone in the world knows what will happen. Theaters would be blown up, producers beheaded, actors impaled.

Facinating we live with this, knowing it full well, yet we kinda dismiss it as "a cultural difference".

Poor Van Gogh, in the Netherlands made a short film....just a short film, not a major theater production, but a short film about the abuse of woman in Islam and the incest in Islam.

He was brutally murdered of course with a note stabbed onto his chest promising the same to anyone else who offends Allah.

If you think about it, over the long haul, if they can continue to keep their religion above scrutiny (by threat) while all others are not...its a real Darwinian advantage.

Geez--I'm Christian and still can't get why you'd say that! It's like hating God because he killed some kids who were making fun of Elijiah. Or pretending abortion clinic bombers represent Christians.

To my limited knowledge, Aisha was the only of Muhammed's wives that was young--so you can hardly call him a pedophile. I am not aware of an age of consent in any major world religion--so he wasn't breaking the rules of the day or his religion. Most of his marriages were made to cement political ties he needed to spread Islam.

The past is like a foreign country--they do things differently there!

Now to the interesting part--I do think it is pretty wild that critisism of Islam gets the reaction it does from some of its extreme right wing. No, I don't think anyone can feel safe exercising free speech critical of Islam, especially if they go to the extreme you did in your title. I really don't care if its fair or not.

There was a case in Paris not too long ago, with 2 sons found guilty of raping. The TV News showed the 2 mothers outside the Court House building, pounding their fists on cement building wall, crying, etc.
The news media asked how they felt about sons being guilty and will be locked up for a while.
The response is shocking: Mother said she could not understand what everyone was so upset about, what's a little oral sex? Her son didn't deserve to be locked up for that.
Their laws and beliefs are NOT the same as ours. We also don't kill if you mention Jesus, God, Angels, Holy Spirit = there is alot of people that should be happy about that in Hollywood.

As to the rape accusations, I read an account of fundamental Islamist soldiers in a training camp with young boys. One of the soldiers asked how old the boys were. The answer they gave - in years old - was the number of soldiers they were then raped by. Not surprising that their men prefer boys to women. After all, they have inferiority complexes that are so severe regarding women that they have to beat and mutilate them to make themselves feel good.
