The same goes for Islam, friend. If you hate Muslims for what you see on TV and hear about in the Media, then you should be quiet right about now.

First of all, the media and the entertainment machine here in the US actually assumes that viewers are Christian, so saying that media is hypnotizing Americans is ridiculous. The news media right now in this country is more right wing conservative than at any other time in history. Interestingly, despite that, the truth about things is still finding its way past the Neocon guardians who are trying to block it.
As to your statement that "true Christians" are really great folks and not at all like how they're portrayed....well, I believe that each individual is who they are regardless of whatever religious doctrine they subscribe to. So if that person is crazy, then they're crazy and believing in Jesus, Santa Claus, or the Tooth Fairy isn't going to change that.
The challenge for you is to live your life in an exemplary way without worrying about negative protrayals. Just be the best YOU that you can be. That is more powerful than anything else. If you still believe that the media is negative towards your religion of choice, I would offer that perhaps you are just a wee bit sensitive. Try looking for the positive portrayals and you'll see that there really are more of that sort than anything else. The days of Christians being ravaged by lions is SO FAR in the past that for modern day Christians to scream this today is really silly.

First of all, never believe anything the media tells you. They are the nut cases. People who are non-christians think that as long as you can't see of feel anything, it doesn't exist. They have no idea about the spiritual side of being a christian. Besides what do you care what they think. If you are a christian and believe in God, be happy and know you are going to a far better place than they are.

People on this site think that all Christians are nuts because they ask and answer daft questions, like not believing in evolution and thinking that the bible is true and not a story book.

Most people aren't aquainted with a non-nut Christain, which is sad, since, if they did get to know a great, cool, Bible-believing Christian, they'd probably change thier view of Christians as a whole.

Why do people assume that all atheists are horrible, immoral people?
80% of people in the United States identify as Christian. You don't get to act as though you're the oppressed minority, because you're not. Christianity rules this country.

We believe "by faith and not by sight". Those who aren't blessed to have heard Him call won't understand that. Some people make assumptions about us from what they see on tv rather than finding out what a true believer lives like. Be strong and keep the faith.

my experience with "christians" is that they are all, and i do mean all, hypocrites. they all go around saying how great "God" and "Jesus" are, thus putting them in the same category as the almighty, yet what do they do? as you stated bomb abortion clinics, march in hate rally's(KKK) protest gay events, chastise single mothers, go to church on sunday, pray, sing, rejoice, get forgiven of their sins, and as soon as they get in the car, head to the nearest grocery store or restaurant, and belittle trhe people for working on a sunday...face it, if they werent working on a sunday, who is cook your food for you? mom or grandma, but thats ok, since they are cooking for the family, it really isnt "work" is it? who are the worst? anyone in the south that proclaims to be a "christian" if y'all were even the slightest bit of a "christian", you would stop your hating, and berating, and belittling, and cussing, and drinking, and carrying on, and act like "Christ".
do you even know what "Christian" mean? uh? do you? the term "Christian" means to be "CHRIST"-like. are you Christ-like?
you state that " true americans are far from those "portrayed" on tv as nuts" blah blah blah. if those arent "true americans" then who or waht are they? i can tell you this much, they sure arent "christ-like" to be calling themselves "christians". i dont know about anybody else, but the almighty is unconditional in all of his powers and grace. "christians" always have an "angle". an example, a "christian" church i was going to many years, one sunday the pastor stopped the service, counted the offering, out of 200 people in attendance, $23,000.00 was collected, he stood up in front of that congregation and stated "i love you all, but, this is not enough money, if you cannnot afford to pay your 10% tithes, then you have no place in my church". he is saying this while wearing armani suits and giorgio shoes, his wife is wearing versace...Jesus wore a "sheet". "christians" always have "conditions". think about it.

Christians are "nuts" as evidenced by their entire history. Rational "Christians" are the rare exception and very few, if any, actually exist.

The only way to have the world like a Christian is to have the love of Jesus .......................Jesus has to love through the Christian and until that happens the world will feel that Christians are nuts.................Love is the only answer
