How old are you, and how "older" is the man you are talking about?
If you both are of legal age of consent, I would suggest that you find out what this guy likes to do in his spare time. Once you find that out, you could try to "just show up" at some of the places he likes to hang out. However, you would not want to follow him everywhere he goes, because that would be "stalking" and most people tend to frown on behavior like that.

#9 is my answer too. How old are you and what is the reason for dating an older guy? if you are 18 or older then it does not matter have you seen heard or read magazines about Ashton Kutcher and his wife? I say go for it

Depends on the reason for you wanting to date older men. Are you looking for marriage, hot sex, maturity? You really don't give much information to anyone wanting to help answer your question.

If you already know who the guy is, which I am assuming you do, start going out of your way to talk to him, then try one of the following:
1. Just ask him if he would like to go out to (whatever) with you.
2. Say something like: I really like you, we should hang out sometime: and then offer him your phone number.
3. After talking to him for a while just say: I really like you, and I just wanted you to know that IF you were to ask me out, my answer would be YES.
That takes away any and all fear of rejection -- which keeps a LOT of guys from asking women out in the first place.
