Washington DC. There are so many historical attractions there. You could visit the entire museum strip on constitution ave. (Smithsoniam) that will probably take you a couple of day's to see the whole thing. The Holocaust museum. American history, white house, geeorg washington monumet, Old Town Alexeandria, Ford Theatre, The house right across from the teatre where President licon died. You can see the bed he died in. There's a museum at the theatre with his tux he wore that eveing and all kind s of artifacts. There's just so much to see there.

It depends on the age of your children and how far you are willing to travel. But my suggestion is one of the National Parks, there are tons of things to do in the areas surrounding the parks. Especially Yellowstone, depending on where you are from, is a true learning expierence, unless you are from an area close to it. But with the different entry points to the park you can go in out to the different surronding communities everyday and see different things. Plus what kids don't like trying to spots bears and buffalo.
