You might be mistaking desire for love.
Love is supposed to be a good supportive thing, right? So if you really love someone, you never get over them, you get to be with them, and sometimes being with them means being happy because they have found happiness with or without you.
You will desire another eventually. Desire is a biological feeling that can overwhelm us at times.

in time them not being with you will hurt so bad that you will become bitter against them...and then you'll care less weather they where in your life or not...at least that is how it worked for me when i was in love witha guy I worked for and after we stopped sleeping together he acted like nothing ever happened so, i thought he was such a jerk i didn't think it was any ood to spend any more time on him...

Not easy, perhaps not a good idea, unless they're married to someone else or something.

Just be friends and let him know that you don't want a relationship at all, just to be friends, and no matter what don't give in or you'll end up married later with kids!! :)

Try to avoid him and try harder. Do something different to get your mind off of him.
