Even being a little chubby strongly increases the risks of getting serious diseases later in life, usually non-fatal but requiring ongoing medical care. With more overweight people seeking this health care, the costs go up. As the costs go up, so does the cost of insurance to help with the bills. This creates a heavy burden on employers who provide health care to their workers, resulting in lower wages. So you see, an excess of overweight people hurts everyone in the country except those in the health care and health insurance industries.

And it doesn't take much to get into shape. Mostly willpower. Just holding yourself to two or three meals a day without snacks and daily exercise and you will be amazed how quickly you can shed some unwanted pounds. And you just feel better when you're in shape. Take it from a chunky teen who's now a fit 30 year old.

People need to stop focusing so much on scale weight and pathetic BMI charts and start looking at bf% (that body fat percentages) anything over 30% for women noted as not good.

Which means that someone who is 5'5 and 140lbs with 33% bf stands by someone who is 5'5 and 160lbs with 26% body fat.
The 140lb person is going to look bigger than the 160 person.

There's nothing wrong with being who you are right now at all times. There however are health issues that come with being obese so you have to watch for those. But otherwise if you are confident with the person you are the go for it!

Nothing is "wrong" with it. It is just that the vast majority of the opposite sex does not find a fat person sexually attractive. Not attractive = no dates = no marriage = no kids.

Well as long as you're healthy, and okay with yourself being a little bit overweight, nothing.

as long as you are healthy? nothing...however, a little fat when you are younger can lead to becoming "too" fat or obese as you age...
