now what. i know in my profile i said i'm a nurse. its what i've been working towards my whole life. my dad was a corpman and i surround myself with lpns or rn's as buddies. now even with my 3.4 gpa, my 97% on my nln's, and all my great refferences are wasted. what can i do? i have a school loan to pay back, and i want to help people. honestly, i am my brothers and sisters keeper. i have trouble accepting that business is business, when did people stop taking care of people, and instead focus on income? my work history does suck.......i've had 78 jobs and the longest few were four months worth. but i thought with my recent college career and my gpa they would have seen my natural born talent and dedication to be a nurse. but they gave my spot to someone else. i cannot wait until the class of 08' starts, because even then they may pass me over. i am a great worker, work as hard or harder....and smarter, than 99.999% of any other employee. Yahoo, help a cousin out.

i didnt keep many jobs very long because they became super tedious and boring. but i did work in an o.r and i learned something new every day. just because my nitche needed a degree doesn't mean that i wont stay until they have no more use of me. but id of course make myself irreplaceable.

Rejected?
If your claim of being a harder worker than most, you wouldn't of had 78 different jobs that only lasted a few months. You show you do not have a very good work ethic. Why would a school want to waste so much time on someone who most likely will leave a hospital in the lurch.

Um, there are many many places that have nursing programs. If you can move then move and find a program that will let you in. The nation needs so many nurses that the only way you'll be turned down is because of space limitations. If your hometown school turned you down go somewhere else.
