A good answer can be found here: http://www.homosexualityexplained.com/

It's not about hating the person, it's about hating the action. Homosexuality is a form of lust gone awry. There is no historical precedence for homosexuality in history. No great civilization ever thrived with homosexual tolerance. Even places like Rome that became enmired in that, ended up falling. Homosexuality goes against nature and cannot produce offspring. A society that embraces homosexuality is headed for destruction. Look at the Islamic culture that supports strong heterosexual union and large families, this is why they are such a large and growing group. American and Europeans awash in their own self indulgence are heading toward extinction. Surviviing and thriving in this world is always based around the hetero family unit. The problem for people under 50 in this country is that they have been so indoctrinated by the gay subculture and the anti-family rhetoric that it has come to make perfect sense in their minds. In my father's time or my grandfather's time the notion of homosexuality as a lifestyle choice would have been unheard of. So what has changed in 50 or 100 years? Did we eat from the tree of knowledge? Did some earth shattering discovery take place? Did we overcome our bias and our prejudice? No, the more likely answer is we gave up our will to stand up for what's right. Just like the doped up and drop out culture of the 1960's where a generation of young people quit rather than fight we opened the door to a "whatever" goes mentality. Tolerance became the watchword for judging all things. Religion became demonic and so too did religious values. But alas this is not all new. The bible contains stories of pagan cities like Sodom and Gomorrah where self indugence reined supreme. Of course, we know what happened to places like that. We too know that the righteous God fearing, heterosexual people inherited the earth. So don't be taken in by these lies that mute the truth. The feminist writer Susan Sontag said that camp was the meal ticket for the gay movement. We see this today in the media portrayal of gay life. Gays are deferential, kind, funny victims. However, you don't see the gay bathouse culture, the promiscuity and the mulitiple sex partners. The more urbane, uglier side of homosexuality. Anyone can feel attraction to another of their kind and it is understandble, faith though and good works is what keeps us living a righteous lifestyle. Bless you all.

Hate stems from ignorance of others. This hate demonstrates that people have a fear whether real or imagined. Unenlightened, uneducated sorts try to poison others with their ideas.

It is hard at first, but what needs to be done is to bridge the gap. To show these individuals that you are not so different. Well maybe in some ways, outwardly, but essentially we're all the same.

Some ppl could just be jealous because gay couples seem to have a lot more understanding and openness with their partner compared to that of a hetero couple. Don't get me wrong there still is domestic violence issues and drugs and alcohol problems with gay couples but very rarely. Also, it seems to me that some ppl who dislike gays have had something happen to them b4 that was homosexual like in nature like being molested or raped or maybe they have had thoughts about it before but refuse to admit it, and they don't like the thoughts they have had.

I don't think that I hate any of them.I do have some that are friends. They act like you or me most of the time. Its the ones, like some other minority groups, that think they need to cram their views down others throats or want a reason to be in the spotlight that makes most people I know sick.
Just be who you are and shut up.
If you are a gay man,DON'T act like a patsy all the time.People ARE going to make fun of you.I am a horndog but I don't act like it in public.People need to learn to respect others feelings and use common sense.

i don't understand why to inform the truth. i imagine that maximum gays that are like that resent the different gays that in wonderful condition into authentic-existence stereotypes because those stereotypes are compelled onto the full majority and that impacts how human beings view them. I actually don't have any situation with both, myself.

I am one of those "born again" Christians who disagrees with the gay lifestyle; however I do NOT "hate" gays, nor do I have any Christian friends who "hate" gays. We disagree with their lifestyle simply because we believe the Bible, And that we care enough to tell the truth simply because one day we will all be judged -- including gays.

Therefore, when we tell you that God is not pleased with your lifestlyle, it is only because we care about your future.

However, what you do in your bedroom is really none of my business is it?

And if you don't feel guilty about it, then there is no reason to tell the whole world that you're gay, or (worse) to seek God's approval and the approval of all of His followers, nor to march in the streets to try to change our laws regarding the definition of marriage.

Also, EVERY gay person has both a mother AND a father.
That is because nature itself prefers heterosexual/natural relationships over those that are unnatural.

But for you to say that I, or we Christians "hate" you is a gross distortion to begin with, and is rooted in your desire to do away with what made this country such a great place: the Freedom of Speech and the freedom to believe what you want to believe without fear of persecution or being put in jail for disagreeing with someone over things like this. For that is bigotry to the max.

In fact, bigotry is perhaps the greatest threat to freedom that we face today, as is gross distortion of the position of people like me, who may not agree with your lifestyle, but will defend your right to live your life as you choose -- IF you accept my right to have beliefs about moral rights and wrongs.

Because people fear anything they do not understand, and some people react by getting angry. Also, as we are more than well aware of, people like to misinterpret scripture and ignore parts that don't give them what they want.

I'm straight, but I don't hate them. I used to work at Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World, FL., and they have gay day every year. They are so fun and funny. I always looked forward to it.
