The driver refused to turn on the meter. He also refused credit card payment. My brother-in-law is from China in NYC for a conference. From the Answers, he sounds being overcharged for $50+. Thanks.

How much would cost a Taxi from JFK Airport (NY) to downtown (NY)? I don't know how much Taxi's cost. But if you're asking how much the taxi ride would be from point A to point B, probably $50.

The rates are right there on the outside of the cab and inside as well. There is an initial charge and then 50 cents per 1/4 mile I believe. Tolls are extra.
