If Illegal Immigrants are stealing people's identification so that they can live and work in America, don't they get driver's licenses, and voter's cards?
The last time that I went to my local township elections there were far more illegal immigrants there to vote, than there were Americans.
Our local officals provide translators for these illegals, then allow them to vote, knowing that each and everyone of them is a felon because of using a stolen identity.
There is only way to stop this, and it is not through your vote, it is through your dollars.
Close your wallets, and they will go home of their own free will!
Report companies that sponsor human smugglers, by hiring illegal immigrants, and close your wallets to them.
No matter what our government does, we still earn the bread and butter.
It's not about racism, or compassion, because believe me, they have none for you, or they would not be here as criminals in the first place. They would earn it, just like you.

Where I live in Texas more than 42 percent of the population is illegal immigrants, and believe me they are proud of it.
The only people that would say Illegal Immigrants don't use illegally obtained voters cards, through Identity theft are those that are doing it, and those that don't vote.
I only need my voter's card, and driver's license to vote in my local area. And, I only need a auto title, and bill to get a driver's license.
Once I've got those, I only need a picture Id to get a copy of my social security card.
It is not that hard to get a voters card in America, they are issued at the DMV.
American money flow on American soil is controlled by Americans, and is the most powerful tool that we have to get our government's attention.
Politics, is how we deal with them.
It is the legal, and illegal Mexicans in America that have done the most damage, and insulted the American people the most, so that is where Americans are going to begin.
Close your wallets Americans

So please push for verification of votes, particularly in border states, after the fact. The addresses have to be there to process registration and after the fact verification does not hamper the ability to vote before the fact.
I used to think people who thought illegals voted were paranoid. Then I started visiting on-line forums where I have seen regular after regular on the illegal side say that 'of course' they vote, as if they had a right to.
It makes me wonder how much of the legislation of my own state, California, is really governed by the citizens. I also wonder why Democrats keep fighting any citizenship verification requirement for registration. A Senator tried to put that in the Senate immigration bill and it was voted down. Kennedy said it would be too big a deterrent on our elderly who may not have valid drivers' licenses.
I would say start requiring it for those under 70, at least. However, in fact everyone needs ID now, if only for Medicaid, and getting proof of citizenship, if you are a citizen, is no harder than getting any other ID. I think that provision should go back into what ever Bill is actually passed, if any is passed.

You make a great point, but then ruin it by making the claim that "there were far more illegal immigrants there to vote." How do you know, FOR SURE, that they are illegal immigrants? While they do steal the identity or just use fake social security numbers, I think voting is the last thing on their mind until now. All they want is the income, they could care less about most of the elections since up until now, it never affected them.

They are breaking the law and we can't catch them. What should we do? Turn there criminal activities into our benefit. Make them pay taxes. Give them a probational I.D. to work, and if they break the law, deport them. With a probational I.D. we will know where they are at (in theory). Illegal imigrants have more privacy rights than we do because they don't have I.D.s, does it make sense to grant illegal immigrants more rights than an american citizen has?
The fact is, and I think everyone can agree with this, the current system is not working.
Heck, lets just give them our social security money to leave and we can fix two broken systems with on stone.

A bill came up before the Texas legislature this past session to require a photo government ID to vote. (provided free by the state) It was blocked by the Dem's who claimed they would loose 7% of their voting block. The county treasurer in Harris County (Houston) says there are many attempts to register illegally. He had a lot of applications submitted all with the same street address. (Sorry, I don't remember the numbers on this.)

Illegals cannot vote. You have to be a citizen of the United States in order to vote.
For whatever reason you do not like illegal aliens, they have to provide proof of citizenship if they register to vote. Most of the illegals who vote in this country entered illegally and became citizens. Therefore, they are not illegal anymore.
Check the voter registration laws in your state. See if there isn't a criterion for non U.S. born citizens to vote.
I have very little contact with illegal immigrants. My time is taken up with refugee issues. So I do not know how many illegals try to register to vote, but I do have some frustration with how hard it is for refugees, who entered this country legally from mostly African nations - who became U.S. citizens, have a serious problem proving their citizenship when they become citizens and register to vote.
You have to document your citizenship in order to vote if you are registering for the first time.

Your comments were an eye opener for me. It is outrageous that the number of voters at town elections, using stolen identities, outnumbered the legal residents!! And that the local authorities provide translators so the illegals so they can vote vote is criminal!!
I agree with your solutions to the problem and with your anger at the status quo!!
Good luck!!

Your post is pointless for a variety of reasons, but the primary one being that there is no way that you could possibly know the legality of the people at the ballot boxes. If you think that every brown or Spanish-speaking person in the country is illegal, then we have a convenient label for you: racist.

If you know one did demand from your government a recount. Call your paper (and others)and put it in their editorial. Call radio stations. Post on all webs. Keep telling all Media what you know until some one takes noticed. They will in time.
Everyone should do this. Only American citizens have that right. So holler until someone hears you. If I see it you will hear me shout.

Isn't there some method of verifying identification?
That would simplify weeding out those who are entitled to vote from those who are not.
