You can get loans to go to a tech school, but make sure that the school is accredited and that you are carrying at least 6 credits a semester. Technical schools/institutes tend to be expensive, and if the school folds over, you will have to repay the loans. Try looking into community college. Most of the curriculum offered by a tech school is also offered by community college, particularly if it is a community college in a city. Depending on your financial situation, you can get your community college education paid for by grants and not have to take out a loan. Plus, you'll get an associate's degree with the opportunity to transfer those credits to a four year school.

You can recieve financial aid to attend tech schools if the school is accredited and if you take aenough credits. You should check the with schools financial aid department first to see if there is the posibility of scholarships you could apply for first, since you don't have to pay them back when you are done.
Then go to FAFSA and fill out the forms online, if you are under 25 and not married you have to provide your parents income and your own; if you are over this age you just need your own and your spouses if you are married.
My husband graduate from a Tech school and his loans are about half of mine since it was as long of schooling and it was less expensive; there are a lot of benefits to a tech school.
Good Luck.
