I am in a remote area, no hairstylist. My friend helped to touch up my roots on my bleach blonde hair. My hair is now exceptionally white, like "Swiss-Miss". I want it to look more natural, and my friend suggested using a hair-cap to pull small stands through and color them a light caramel for depth. Kinda scared, I don't like the thought of my head being my friends experimental playground. Professional advice so I can do this at home would be much appreciated!!!

You are killing your hair. Do not do another process on already over bleached hair. It will break off. Use a deep conditioner, the kind you leave on for about 30 mins. like Kolestral. Then, when it is in better shape, color it will a semi-permanent hair color or rinse.

It depends on how long ago you did it. I would wait at least a few weeks, and then go purchase a lowlight toner. You can get anywhere from a honey blonde to an ash. It will add some depth to your color. You may be able to get it from your local grocery store, or order it online from a sally's beauty supply for better results! Hope that helps.

I don't think there is much you can do now because it's so over processed. I'd worry about it falling out. Next time don't get super bleach blonde get a blonde that has natural coloring.
