You would need to look at what you know of the girl and what you know of the friend. If something is going on that shouldn't be, it will eventually come out. Suggest that the three of you hang out together, or see how they act in a group setting. If you feel like you can really trust her, then don't worry about it until something she does gives you reason to worry. But I do think it is possible for a girl to have close guy friends. I have a couple myself and it doesn't jeopardize my relationships. Only you know the girl for sure, though.

If you see her flirt with this guy and spend a lot of time with him, then he's not just a friend. If she breaks plans with you to hang out with some other dude, again, he's not just a friend. Look for any signals that might make you think otherwise. Also, remember these words...It's very MATURE and ATTRACTIVE to a woman to be with a man who lets her lead her own life while holding a relationship together with trust and honesty. Look up the word "Autonomy" if you need more info.

of coarse but to me that means back up boyfriend i need to know someone before i date them so when im w/ some one i start look for a new man just in case....i have two guys that are "just friends" now...

yup...i have been bestfriend with the same guy for 3 years and ive never cheated on my man with him...or even thought about it for that matter.
but their r some who lie about it...be care but it is possible!
