it doesn't slow the growth but its not healthy for ur hair,having burnt or split ends slows the growth,also not eating healthy slows the growth process a bit

Yes. I use to always put gel in my hair & it never seemed to grow. For about a year now I've stopped using gel & I can see the difference. My hair has probably grown about 3-4inches since last summer (I'm black so 3-4 inches is lot).

Some say no, some say yes. All I know is that my husband used to have nice thick hair and put gel in it every day since he was a teenager. Now at the age of 31 he is the first one in his family (mothers side and fathers side included) to be going bald.

NO. But if you try to brush it w/ all that gunk in it, prepare for hairs to break off in the brush. Then you're more behind in the length department that you wree before the gunk.

These have some substances which dont suit the hair and hence doesnt let the hair and your scalp breathe...it might even cause hair loss..

If you clear the hair from its root (like with wax) , it will grow slowly eventually and thinner.
