Get a boy about 8 years old who loves to play outdoors. Tell him it's his dog but he has to leave the dog at your house. He can come over to play with it and take it with him on his outside journeys. The dog will come back exhausted.

your dog is probably has nothing he/she is interested in. You could go out and get new toys but it also depends on how much time u give the dog. Attention is most important thing in a dogs life and ignoring the dog or not having the time can be the casue because the dog is confused and gets used to nothing to do and is lazy. but a more serious problem that can arise is the thyroid. It could be too low or too high and needs medicine. YOu should probably get that checked out. symptoms are the dog drinks a lot of water and is really lazy. the dog needs to be looked at because if it is a thyroid problem you can fix it and it will perk up your dog a lot more.

A dog needs a diet with a wide variety of nutrients to keep her healthy. These include carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and vitamins, and minerals.

to select the appropriate dog food for your canine is to read the food label. Look for dog foods that have a high amount of meats and use only whole grains and vegetables. Generally, meat, fish, or poultry and grains and soybean meal should be at the top of the food ingredient list on the packaging. Avoid dog foods that carry a high level of meat by-products, unidentified fatty sources, and artificial flavors and preservatives.

Giving your dog the best diet you can manage and afford is worth it. She'll reap the benefits of a shinier coat and better resistance to diseases and other health problems.

Exercise serves to keep your dog physically fit and mentally well. Give your pooch playtime with you in the backyard or a walk in the neighborhood for exercise. She'll get improved muscle tone, better flexibility, work the cardiovascular system, and release endorphins to contribute to a happy state.

Different breeds of dogs need different amounts of exercise. Your average Toy Poodle may just need a brisk walk around a few blocks while a Boxer would need a much more vigorous routine.

If you have exhausted your own options in correcting your canine's behavior, then consider using a canine behavior specialist. This person has been trained specifically to learn the psychology of animal behavior and has concentrated his work on dogs. To find a reputable behaviorist, check with your local veterinarian or animal shelter for a recommendation. The Animal Behavior Society certifies Applied Animal Behaviorists. Some of the board certified professionals specialize in dogs.

Most dogs are smart and need a job to do. When they get bored, they can mope around or even worse, tear up things like shoes, carpet or worse.

If you cannot take some time to walk with your dog, which is beneficial for both of you - Find someplace safe (fenced and flat) to let your dog run or chase a toy. If that is not possible, give them something to chew. Consult your vet first for advice on safe items for your dog to chew on.

I give my dog flavored chew-ezs when she gets bored and lazy and she always perks right up. You must keep a close eye on them so they don't choke themselves.

First of all, what kind of dog do you have? Chances are your dog is not lazy but bored. Knowing what kind of dog you have can give this question a better answer.

Some breeds are born lazy. There is just no helping it (Basset Hounds, Greyhounds, Bulldogs, etc). Put a leash on and walk it at least once a day (whether it likes it or not).

I think he needs to breath in the fresh air of morning. Take him for a walk at mornings.

And if you are giving him/her house food.

It wud be a LOT better to feed him Pedigree dog food.

I find it a very good source of energy for dogs.

if hes hard 2 get on a leash or chain then if he has a collar on then yank his collar and quickly put the leash/chain on him. if he dosnt have a collar on then grab his neck tight but not too tight cause u might choke him and put a collar on him and take him for walks if u do this enough u might can do other things with him like throw balls for him (dont cut of the balls under his penus to throw it for him as regular balls) or u can run around with him
