no. you need a separate unit. BUT... there are programs out there that will burn movies to cds (e.g. dvd ripper by cosmi).. I've used it, but it takes two cds usually to burn the entire movie. It's kind of a pain to change the discs mid stream.

I'm afraid not, at least I can't think how this could be done. The fundemental difference between a CD burner & a DVD burner is the resolution. I don't think any software could make a CD burner accurate enough to burn DVDs.

Check out www.froogle.com, though, you can buy an outboard DVD burner for about $30.

No but you can convert dvd files which will burn on a cd

DVD uses different wavelength on the laser which is not present on cdburners, like some one else said you must buy a DVD burner, besides they are so cheap

no if your CD drive can only burn CDs it wont work to try to burn DVDs altho you can make VCDs (Video CDs) some DVD players will play them

TO BURN DVD's YOU NEED TO BUY A DVD-RW.
