I have a date with a guy I met online tomorrow. His picture looked familiar lilke a guy I used to see in a store I used to work at. He was kinda weird acting but not in a scary way. He lives in my area so it could very well have been him. I went this morning for coffee and saw a guy that looked just like him and he was smiling at me. He was waiting for someone and when she came he took a seat with her on the other side of the coffee place. I have a funny feeling it is the guy I am meeting tomorrow. I have no problem with him being out on a date with someone because I have a date myself tonight and after all you have to meet a lot of people to find the right one. These first meetings are just that. I am nervous about meeting him tomorrow because I kinda think he's weird but we have already made a date and if I cancel now he will think it is because of today if that was indeed him. I should still meet him tomorrow shouldn't I?

If you think he might be nice, then what have you got to lose?

Sure why not? If you don't like him then you don't have to see him again. Just be careful and make sure that you meet him in a public place. You should suggest that same coffee place and see what he says... his reaction might tell you that was him. Be especially careful though if you think he's weird. People on the net are weird... hopefully you saw a webcam. Make sure someone knows where you are.

I think online stuff in itself is very very touchy subject. I have a former friend who does that ALL The time., she just sits at home and makes dates with cyber guys. Let me just tell you that one time it got her into SOOO Much ****, that it is far far far from being worth it. They guy beat her up, threatened to kill her, sucked her for all the money she had ( she bailed him out of jail a little while after they met) and split. now I am not saying youre as stupid as her, ( cuz she has issues, seriously- that is why Im no longer friends w her) but just whatever you do - be Careful!! Be absolutely sure you want to go there before you meet any strangers off online.

You can always take the rude (but effective) approach of disguising yourself (hat/scarf/sunglasses) and scoping out the meeting place to see if he turns up.

If he does, you have the option of leaving, because he doesn't know he's meeting YOU, right?

ask him to meet u in front of this specific store or whatever...(there must be LOTS of people!so u can get cover!) so from far, peek and see your 'guy' from across the street or whatever...make sure he doesnt see u..but if he turns out to be ugly in real life, u can always run away just in time without having to meet him.

Life is to short to guess what he's thinking. If you go be careful stay in public place. I do back round checks on everyone.. know a cop?
